On the up and up

Hey guys! So things are looking better. I got everything set up with the state for homeschooling this year (YAY!). We're doing the off campus program. In this program you homeschool, but your kids still take one class a week with other homeschooled kids. During all of this you are still supervised by a person from the state. It works, and that's how I feel about it. I am more than willing to do whatever the state needs me to do, as long as I still get to homeschool my children. I feel so much better, now that that's all taken care of, and I don't have to worry. My kids will be going to Silverdale Baptise Church on Wednesdays for classes, and they get to stay there for a few hours. They do gym, science, math, clubs, and lunch. I let the kids all pick out a lunch boxes today. Olivia had to get one too (of course). God is so good, I was having such a hard time, and I didn't know what to do, and he took my hand and lead me straight to were I needed to be, when at first I didn't even know where to go.

The mortgage is still a mess. We went through Navy Federal, and I guess this is just what we get for going through them. From what I have heard from others, is that they are always like this. They are hard and slow. So if you are looking for a mortgage, don't get it through them. I'm just trying to take it all one day at a time, and accept that we may not get this house. They are taking so long, and we are getting way to close to the deadline. If we don't get it, then I'm just going to take it as a sign, that maybe God doesn't want us to buy this house. I can deal with that. The house we are in right now really isn't that bad. So I am feeling better, just not all that way yet.

To be honest I just wish I didn't have to deal with all of this extra stuff. In truth I can handle teaching Nathaniel, and dealing with Olivia, but with all of this extra stuff, it just makes the little things that much harder. It's like what I told my mom "If I could get to a point where all I had to worry about was teaching my kids, then that would be fine. I would be fine with that. That's all I ask for." I think in a few weeks everything will be all better. We will have either moved, or not. Olivia will most likely grow out of this naked thing, and Nathaniel will be use to the school schedule again.

Going Bananas!

Have you ever had a lot of work to do, and in so many different areas, and while your trying to do the work, things just aren't working out for you?

My youngest son Nathaniel has ADD, and I've been trying to work with him to the best of my abilities, but it's still hard and frustrating. Getting him to learn anything takes so much longer, and I know it's not his fault and he tries. It just really hard for me, and I'm always worried that my best won't be good enough for him (if that makes any sense). I know God wants me to continue to homeschool him, so I just have to keep trying. Along with that, I've been having to jump through hoops just to homeschool my kids in this state. It feels like the world is trying to work against me. I just have to remind myself that God is on my side, and He loves me, and knows just what I'm going through.

We are also currently buying a house. I haven't said anything yet, because I didn't want to tell anyone before it was set in stone (or mostly). The paper work has been a mess. Since Jeremy works all the time, I have to be the one to handle it, and most of the time that's no big deal, but when you have to call up all of these different companies and bug them for documents and all they want to do is talk to your husband, it can get a little frustrating. Then when they do finally agree to send it, they can't fax it or e-mail. No! They have to send it the old fashion way. Yeah even more frustrating! So it's taking such a long time, just to buy this house that we want.

My two year old, has been playing the naked game. She just likes to take her clothes off. The big problem is that she likes to do it at bed time, and at nap time. She'll take off her clothes and pee in the bed, every single nap time and bed time. I get to change the sheets, and give her a bath after all of this (every time!). Olivia is smart about it too, she'll wait until I think she has gone to bed, and she can take off any item of clothing. Zippers do not stump her and buttons and snaps are no help. I have also made no lead way in potty training her. My daughter is just to busy, she has so much she wants to do, so asking her to sit on the potty is like pulling teeth. (Are all of you Moms of toddlers laughing at me right now?)

I also have some other things going on, that are just as equally frustrating. Yes I know deep breaths.

The title (of this post) I got from Olivia's favorite tv show, The Fresh Beat Band. On some episodes they get into a situation and they feel stuck or frustrated, that's when one of them says "This stuff is making me wanna go bananas", then they do this. I wish I could just dance around and sing the bananas song, and feel so much better afterwards...  Yeah...  I just like to shut the door to my room and cry it out, but you know as long as it works then that's okay.

Okay so yes once again I'm not trying to get sympathy, I'm just really speaking to anyone going through a tough time, and showing them that we all go through it, and you are not alone, and God sees you and knows what your going through. :) And it really helps to take deep breaths, and cry it out, and if that doesn't work go grab your favorite hot tea, and drink it somewhere quiet, so you can imagine yourself on a quiet beach somewhere. :)

I think I'm going to do that right now :)

lots to say

Hey everyone, yup it's only 2 days before my due date, and I feel like I'm going nuts. Tomorrow should be my last appointment. So any day now...

baby

We also finally got a closing date for our new house. We will be moving on the 26th of February. Yay! So now it's time for packing... Boo!...

boxes

I am so ready though, we really need some more space. So I have 2 very big things to look forward to, and with any luck one of those things should be here this week. I just wish I had a actual date on that one.

The boys had yesterday, and today off of school (for no real reason), and after coming off of a weekend, they had no idea what to do with that extra time. Whenever this happens, they always end up doing things they shouldn't. Like fighting, and getting into stuff, and being way to loud. All of this happened yesterday, so what did I do? I took away the video games. Ha ha ha...

vg

This was of course horrible for them, because they love video games, and because they just got a new one Spongebob Truth Or Square...

sb

They are spending today making up for it, and it has been a wonderful day. We got them the new video game because they beat Shrek 2, from start to finish. This dates back to a few months ago, when they kept seeing commercials for new games, and kept asking for them. Of course we were like "no way". We explained to them that they already have enough games, and they need to play the ones that they had first. Then we made a deal with them. We would buy them a new game when they finished one that they already had, and they had to do it all on their own. So they did, it took them a few months, but after practice and such, they were able to master Shrek...

shrek

Oh and speaking of the kids... I have been looking into homeschooling starting next year...

hsc

My whole reason for this is mainly because I really don't like what they are picking up from school. I have been hearing phrases like... "Lier lier pants on fire"... "I'm not your friend anymore"... "If you do this I'll be your best friend"... "I'm going to tell on you"... "I don't like you"... Yes the list can go on, and this is all being picked up from school, and all of those bratty kids...

Another problem is Darien's lack of effort in his school work. He is only doing what is needed to get by, and nowhere near his best. Also another reason would be what they are going to teach my kids in years to come. Let just face it, the public school system is not getting any better, so I should do something now, before my kids get brain washed...

On other news, my Cat Link has been acting very needy lately...

link2

He is for the most part he is a keep to himself kind of cat, with the occasional need for love. This past week however he has been following me everywhere. Yes even in the bathroom (not cool), he has been wanting lots of love and attention. Does he know that soon I won't be able to give it to him? Maybe? So he's living it up now. Okay whatever. That is all I have going on now, so thanks for reading.

Finally updated

Wow, okay first off I would like to say sorry about not updating in a long time, but most of you who read this already know me, and already know what's going on in my life (for the most part). Me moved to Maryland in late May (woohoo). The drive across country was okay, but not fun. If I was to do it all over again, I would have planed more stops and taken it much slower. It was however both of ours (Jeremy and me), idea to do it as fast as possible. We are living on Fort Meade right now, and its has been pretty good, but our place feels small, and will soon feel smaller, because our 4th is on the way, and should be here the end of January (surprise, for those of you who didn't know). So we are buying a house!! Sorry for all of the big news compressed into one paragraph, but I didn't want to make this really long I just wanted to catch everyone up. Our new house will be in Glen Burnie, and should be big enough for all of us, and than some.

Darien has started the 2nd grade, and is doing very well. The only problem I'm having from him is his authority. Because he is the oldest, he thinks he on a level higher than his brothers, and he's not. He has been very bossy with them, and he has been trying to take matters into his own hands, and his brothers don't want to listen to him and they shouldn't. It has been frustrating for me, because he puts so much effort into bossing them around, and trying to talk back to Jeremy and I (I say trying, because he doesn't get away with it), and he should be using that effort to work on his hand writing.

Zachary is now in kindergarten, and is doing much better. He had a bit of a rocky start, because it takes him longer to get a routine down, then it does with his brothers. He is like me at that age, I was so easily distracted, and I needed more reminders to keep me on track. Like I said he has it now, and he is doing great.

Nathaniel is now 3 and a half (will be 4 in April). With both his older brothers in school, it's just him and me at home. He loves that. He gets to play by himself (which he loves doing, because he can play how he wants), and watch Dora (one of his favorites). On the downside, Nathaniel is one of those children that likes to test the waters (so to say), and so I have to keep a close eye on him.

As for me and this pregnancy, it's been hard, harder than my last so far. The morning sickness was stronger and longer, than any of my others, and the aches and pains started much sooner as well. On the bright side, this one is a girl! I was going to stop after this one, no matter what, but now I know I will. I'm at the point right now, that I can't wait to have this baby. I'm starting to feel like I have been pregnant forever, and boy is it time. The reality is I have more than a month to go. The past few days I am sorry to say, that my emotions have gotten the better of me, and I have been a bit grumpy. The holidays have me stressed, and have kept me up at night. That's a big thing for me, because I love my sleep and not much can keep me from it. I have already gotten gifts so its not that, it's the whole family thing. As much as I love them (and I do) it was just so much easier when we lived 3000 miles away, and didn't have to worry about who we were going to see and when. Not many seem to understand how hard it is for a 8 mo pregnant mom with 3 kids, to get everyone out and about during the holidays. Also as much as I hate to admit it, it is also partially my fault. I hate to disappoint people so most of the time I say yes, when I should have said no.

Okay so I see this has gone on long enough, so I'm going to stop now. Feel free to leave comments, and thanks for reading.
