One more year older... another year of marriage... Trip to Forks WA... and house cleaning help :)

Okay... yeah... so... long title, sorry about that. I've been super busy lately, and haven't had time to do an individual post for each thing. This will have to do, but I'll brake it up, to make things easier.


Birthday
As of July the 27th, I am 28 years old... Yeah wow. Well I find it a little hard to believe, but I guess it's okay. My birthday was kind of a bummer though. I had to clean, and it was a very noisy day in the Legates house hold. Jeremy also got home late that day, and I didn't get much time with him. Okay I know, I sound like I'm whining, and I don't want to sound like that, and I'm sure you don't want to hear it, so I'll stop. :)

Anniversary

This Friday (the 3rd), was Jeremy's and mine 10 year anniversary. I can't believe it! 10 awesome years! Guess what we did that day... ... ... We got the car fixed. Ha ha right? Well it had been acting funny, and it was the only day we had time. That's life right? You got to do what you got to do, and sometimes on days you don't want to do them. The car is fixed and we are both happy, so I don't think it was that bad. We ended up just celebrating over the weekend, and that was great.

10 years is an awesome milestone. I've enjoyed being married to Jeremy, and he's great. I'm so thankful to be blessed with an awesome husband and an awesome family :)

My Little Brother Got Married

A day after our 10 anniversary, my little brother Wesley got married! The only bad thing was, I couldn't be there    :(. I did get to see pictures, and a video, so that's better than nothing. I'm so happy for them, and excited for them. I met Jessica (his new wife), about a year ago (on fathers day), and she's so nice and sweet, and I think they make a great couple. We became good friends (Jess and I), back in February, and she is so much fun. We skype all of the time, and I always look forward to it.

Trip to Forks, WA
Alright all of you Twilight fans are you curious about the town of Forks? We took a trip there Saturday. It was an adventure trip, our destination was Forks, but if we saw anything cool along the way, we would stop.

Okay yes I like twilight, but not as much as I use to, and I think I know why. After reading the books (if you read them back to back to back to back), you kinda fall in-love with that whole Bella and Edward idea. In your head it's like "Oh Bella, Edward would do anything for you, and you for him, that's so sweet, what a perfect couple. Wow" *sigh* Then reality hits you, and you wake up any realize, the whole thing just seems fake. The first time I watched twilight I was like "WOW I love this movie!" now I watch it and I'm like "What in the world... what is up with this dialogue? Who would say that? What was I thinking?" It's true, that movie gets worse every time you watch it.

I did like the books, and I still watch the movies on occasion, so since we are only a 2.5hr drive away, I thought it was worth it.... .... ... All I have to say is I'm really glad we stopped at Lake Crescent and walked the Marrymere waterfall trail, because that made the whole trip worth it.

Okay Forks wasn't that bad, it did have both Bella trucks (one based after the book, and one based after the move), and they had tours of the town, and things described in the book. They had fan based shops, and great places to eat in the town. However the town looked nothing like the movie.

Cleaning day
So our house really needed a day. Just one to focus on cleaning and get the house looking great. It worked out well. I made a list of all of the rooms in the house, on our white board. Once a room was clean, than we could put a check by it. If all of the rooms were checked off, then we would get ice cream. It was very motivating, and we had it done in no time, and it looked great. The boys are great helpers :) (makes me a proud momma).

Almost ready...

Hey guys, so this is going to be more about the move. I know that has been pretty much all that I've been talking about lately, but there isn't much else going on. The move is so big, that if there was anything else going on, then I would be going crazy. So first the good news :) We have a place! Housing has reserved a place for us, and I feel so relieved. With that out of the way, we can worry about everything else. There is so much to do, and I just hope we get it all done in time.

I've been cleaning a lot lately (and you guys all know how much I love cleaning) :P. I had to get the house "show ready", for potential renters. The cleaning really isn't that hard, it's just we have to keep it clean, and that isn't always easy, because of the 4 wonderful kids we have. We are also going to be moving into a smaller place, so we are planning a really big yard sale. There are just some things we won't have room for anymore, so they have to go. I'm kind of glad though, de-cluttering is nice, and I like the thought of getting rid of things we don't need. I also think that since our new place is smaller, it will discourage us from buying anything we don't need (I'm really just trying to look on the bright side of things, so don't rain on my parade).

So here we go again planning a cross country move (our 3rd). Three years ago (almost exactly), we were doing the same thing (from CA to MD), and just two years before that (almost exactly) the same thing (from VA to CA). You think I'd be a pro at this by now. I'm just trying to take it one step at a time, and trying to look at the bright side, and take deep breaths. Needless to say, I'll be feeling so much better once we get there, and it's all over. Do you ever feel that way? Do you ever say to yourself "I'll be so happy when this is all over with." I'm sure you do, so I'm sure you can understand, and I am so there with you.

So I haven't really shared much of this yet, but I'm a little disappointed that we aren't going back to San Diego. I know I haven't really said anything yet, but it's true. I still have friends there (and a best friend there), and you really can't beat the weather, but it just didn't happen that way. Washington was the only thing available. That tells me, that God wants us to go there. He sometimes does things like this to me, because given my own choice, I most likely wouldn't ask Him what I should do, I would just pick, and only pick what I wanted. So since this was the only choice I feel like God was saying "You need to go here this time, not back to San Diego." So maybe God has something to teach me in Washington, or maybe He has some people He really wants me to meet, or something wonderful He really wants me to see, but since it is His choice I'm sure He has something wonderful planned. Maybe someday He'll let us go back to San Diego. I have to trust Him on this though, because given the choice I wouldn't have moved to San Diego in the first place (it was just to far away from home), but see that's just one of the ways God has changed me, and He could do it all over again if He wanted to.

Spring Cleaning!

Today is a day of cleaning. Yup the whole house needs it. I'm trying not to get distracted... That's why I'm on here (yeah right... everyone desires a break). On the bright side most of the house is done. We were able (when I say we I mean the boys and I. The boys are great helpers) to clean the playroom, living room, kitchen, and Darien's room. All that is left is my room, the baby's room, and the bath rooms. I also need to finish the laundry (not fun). So far the boys (all of them) have moved up 2 spots on the treasure chart. They can be very helpful. So it's no secret that I'm not the best house keeper, and I don't really try to be. I just have different priorities, so I'm not saying anything agents people who put their effort towards that (I actually admire them), I'm just not one of those people.


In my post yesterday I forgot to mention that I have a new Nintendo 3DS, (Jeremy has one too) and it's awesome! I got Lego Star Wars the Clone Wars with it, and so far it's a great game. The 3D is great, and if it becomes to much you are able to turn it off, or adjust it. Just like the Wii you can make you own Mii's, but with the 3DS there is something called the Mii plaza, where if you come in contact with another 3DS your Mii will meet their Mii, and that helps you out in Mii challenges. So far I've met Jeremy's Mii 4 times, and one other random Mii. I had to get my Military ID renewed, and my DS was in my purse, so my Mii met some random guy's Mii, who was most likely in the waiting area. The 3DS also comes with a pedometer and for every 100 steps you take, you get a free coin. You can spend the coins in the challenges and in your games (yes I love it).
